Pep Rally & Tailgating Grand Opening of Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America
Help us kick off the Smithsonian Institution’s traveling exhibit Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America with a pep rally led by Gulfport High School Marching Band and a tailgate barbecue with your favorite college and universities to celebrate our very own Hometown Teams! Show your team spirit by wearing your favorite team apparel. Through images, videos, objects and personal reflections, gathered from teams around the country, the Hometown Teams exhibit shows that sports are more than just games. Our Hometown Teams shape our lives. This exhibit will be on display at LMDC for 7 weeks. Included with museum admission. For more information call (228)897-6039.
